SPRING has arrived and its time to get out, stretch, breathe and de-stress yourself with a yoga session in St David’s Park.

Brooke Banks from Ignite, Mind, Body will conduct the free yoga sessions, which are part of Healthy Hobart’s new spring-summer program.

The sessions are held at 5.45pm on Tuesday and will continue through to April.

“The sessions are open to anyone of any age and no previous yoga experience is necessary,” Ms Banks said.

“St David’s Park is a really beautiful space and a great escape from the busy streets all around. It is a great way to de-stress after a day at work,” Ms Banks said.

Healthy Hobart is an initiative of the Hobart City Council, run in partnership with Healthy Tasmania Pty Ltd which aims to get more people active more often by offering free activity programs open to everyone.

Ms Banks is also co-ordinating the Healthy Kids sessions on Friday mornings which started on Friday at Cornelian Bay.

“The sessions encourage parent and child active play. There will be partner yoga, relays and obstacles. It will be a lot of fun,” Ms Banks said.
